1. Conditions of Eligibility of Teachers for consideration for selection in 2024 Elite Teachers Band Awards
Teachers of all educational institutions primary / middle / high / higher secondary schools / Junior colleges / Degree / Engineering /Pharmacy / Nursing/ Medicine / Agriculture / University Departments ( Both Private and Government) recognised any State or central Government.
(i) Normally retired teachers are not eligible for the award but those teachers who have served a part of the calendar year (at least for four months i.e. up to 30th August in the year to which Elite Band relate) may be considered if they fulfill all other conditions.
(ii) Educational Administrators, Inspectors of Education, and the staff of training Institutes are not eligible for these awards.
(iii) Teacher/Headmaster/Asst.Professors/Assoc.Professors/Professors should not have indulged in tuitions.
(iv) A minimum Three years of service is compulsory.
(v) Contractual Teachers / Adhoc teachers and Shiksha Mitras/ volunteers are not eligible.

2. Selection Criterion
Teachers will be selected based on the following contributions:
Use of technology, innovative pedagogy and joyful learning
Learning material and mentorship
Participation in Governance of Institution
Engagement of community services
Promotion of nation building and national integration
Initiatives to improve learning outcomes
Innovative experiments undertaken
Organization of extra and co-curricular activities
Development and use of Teaching Learning Material
Ensuring experiential learning
Unique ways to imparting knowledge and skill.

3. Procedure for application and selection
• (a) All the applications have to be submitted through online web portal.
• (b) A brief report of contribution (Descriptive self-appraisal not exceeding more than TWO pages ) should be attached by the applicant.
• (c) Incidental expenses/ charges of Rs.120/- has to be paid through on line.
• (d) Each applicant shall give an undertaking that all the information/data submitted is true to the best of his/her knowledge and if anything is found at any later date to be untrue then he/she will be removed from the elite band.
• (e) Selection will be made based on the Self-appraisal made by the applicant. A team containing Three Senior Professors will be appointed for this purpose. The right of Rejection and Acceptance is completely assigned to this committee and cannot be challenged at any time.

4. Intimation of selection and certification
• (a) All the Teachers who were selected into this Elite Band 2024 will be informed on 4th September 2024 and Certificates will be issued online on 5th September 2024.
